As for your paper, you're 1% of the way, well done.  Course in reality, we both know the research, outlining, etc. is probably 40-50% of it right?  So for ease let's say 50%, meaning every page is .25% of the rest (50%/200 pages).  So for every 4 pages you're 1% closer.  I bet by today you've written another 2 pages, so you're now 51% there.  Over halfway done, WOOHOO!!
